  • Syndirella now saves its state when it has been inactive for a minute. This ensures that the feed list and state is not lost if the machine crashes or if Syndirella is otherwise incorrectly terminated. (Issue 19).
  • Syndirella now strips JavaScript from RSS description elements. (Issue 95).
  • If, for some reason, the top or left pane of the Syndirella window disappears, restarting Syndirella should fix the problem. Any comments on why the pane disappears are welcome.
  • Corrected some more cases where Graphics objects were not correctly disposed, in hope to fix the resource leaks under Windows 98/Me.

Download binaries, sources or installer.

Guess I don't have to email you now. Updating to the latest binaries fixed my quibble about the browser window automatically maximizing when a URL was clicked.

Syndirella kicks mucho ass, dude.

OK, this just might drive me crazy. In the top right listview, the little arrow indicator points up when the oldest message is on top. This is backwards to all the Windows progs I have handy. (As well as counterintuitive - the list is sorted in descending date order, after all.) I've reported this a few times, with no effect. Since it seems easy enough to fix, I'm wondering if I'm misreading it.

Tim: Yes, the arrow indicator is incorrect, and I'm going to fix this in 0.91. Sorry for not responding to your earlier reports - my pile of unanswered e-mail is getting smaller, but it's still quite large.

But I still don't quite see any reason for getting crazy about this problem. :-) Doesn't seem too much of a big deal to me.

OK, so I'm not really distraught about it. I really did think I was somehow reading it wrong, and you were tactfully avoiding POINTING IT OUT. More of a concern for my faculties than anything else. All of my other concerns are really feature requests - like a treeview for subscriptions, or at least a sortable listview. But I'm waiting patiently, and enjoying what Syndirella already has.

I just wanted to tell you my wishlist on Syndirella :) I started using it just yesterday, but i really enjoy the program!
Still, there are things that could (imho) be better.
-when you click on the systray icon, it would be nice if you could see a list of feeds that have actually been changed since you last saw them. (this makes sense if some feeds are more useful than the others)
-a separate sorting type parameter for each feed would be nice (so you can sort one feed by date asc, another by title desc and so on)
-marking multiple entries and making them 'read/unread' at the time.

-and of course, regex possibilities in web feeds would be REALLY nice, because i have several things i'd like to add, but those cannot be described by simply marking "start" and "end".

but, anyways, ..
respect! Syndirella IS already a really lovely thing!

perhaps the tray icon could animate when there are new items. this is a better (more stable and reliable) product than feedreader, which I've used...until today.

What about feed-sorting in Syndшrella left column???
